XMP stands for Extreme Memory Profile, a term used by ASUS for their AMD motherboards, often called DOCP on other platforms. You can use CPU-Z to view the 'Memory' section and see readings. A 3000 MHz speed should appear around 1500 MHz. Normally, DDR4 memory JEDEC standards (without XMP/DOCP) run at 2133 MHz, which translates to about 1067 MHz. For instance, a workstation running DDR4-2400 MHz shows roughly 1200 MHz.
