System running at 54% performance with high temperature of 95°C
I was playing games on my computer a few days ago and everything was working well. The next day I came back and noticed my frame rate dropped to around 60fps and there were frequent drops when moving around. I checked my system and saw that after resetting everything, my CPU temperature was unusually high at 95 degrees. I realized it might be the thermal paste issue, even though the fans were running normally.
What type of cooler are you employing? If it's an AIO, verify that the pump is actively operating; this suggests a pump malfunction rather than thermal paste concerns.
That does! That's a pretty standard NZXT AIO, you should be able to feel some vibration from the pump if it's working (that block over the CPU houses the pump). If there's no signs of the pump working and you've reseated the fan cables on the motherboard, then the pump likely died and you need to RMA the unit. I believe 5 year warranties are pretty standard now so it's most likely covered under warranty still.
