Hello there! It's great to see you again. I was curious about whether it would be feasible to alter or delete those shortcuts like %systemroot% and %appdata%. Right now, I'm experimenting with a Call of Duty 4 server, and instead of navigating through my system to my Steam folder and then into the CoD4 directory, I might try creating one myself—perhaps something named "%CoD4%". If that's not an option, well... it doesn't matter. Just let me know!

They're called Environment Variables. And yes, you can make your own. Here you go. That guide works for Windows 8 even though it's for Vista, so I'm sure it works the same with 7 too. @ XDRosenheim
