Temperatures are stable and within normal ranges. The CPU stays below 70°C even under heavy load, and the GPU remains under 75°C during stress tests. Fans are functioning properly except for the chipset fan which isn't spinning up. This shouldn't be a problem.

I doubt much of what a computer or parts shop tells you—they just aim to make a sale. Important for me was that my RAM matched my Asus board, though it wasn't QVL'd by them. I'd see a blank screen every 8-12 starts after the first boot. The only change I made was the RAM, and the problem seems resolved. It never occurred to me.
