I have been operating this system for years, but recently it displayed a warning saying "your system encounters a problem and needs to restart." After restarting, it fails to launch Windows and instead opens the BIOS. In the BIOS, I cannot find my SSD, only seeing my HDD and DVD ROM listed as boot devices.

Is the device a SATA drive or an M.2?

If it doesn’t appear when trying a SATA port or changing the cable, consider connecting it as a secondary drive on another computer to check visibility. If it still doesn’t show, the drive is likely dead. SSDs typically don’t produce a warning sound like older HDDs.

For M.2, you can attempt the same steps—move it to another slot if available or use an external adapter.
