Occasionally when the system shuts down for a few hours, power remains connected and it takes time to start up, resetting the BIOS. However, after restarting or rebooting, everything works normally. I suspect the CMOS battery might be dead, so I replaced it with a CR2032 from Duracell. The only BIOS options I have are XMP profile 1, CPU virtualisation enabled, Fast Boot, and the motherboard details provided.

I believe this might be the problem. Do you mean it restarts, and are all your adjustments erased?

Following a cold start, I would launch into BIOS and notice the message "Bios has been reset, please re-configure your bios setup." After verifying, I realized that all three settings were removed.

Refresh or upgrade your BIOS. This might resolve the issue if it's not, possibly indicating a problem with the BIOS chip.

Hopefully, the bio updates were applied after the reset.

Currently the time is accurate, yet I missed noticing the clock during the bios restart.

It could be a simple oversight—most setups will alert you if the CMOS jumper isn’t in the correct setting.

It seems the board needs a 3-pin reset and you might need to get a jumper cap from a nearby repair shop. If the local PC repair shop doesn’t have it, it’s likely available elsewhere. Some boards begin with default settings if the jumper isn’t properly set.
