It seems the power source is likely failing due to overload protection.

The suggested PSU capacity for the 3080ti is 750W, meaning you might be a bit lacking at 700W. On the flip side, most tasks won’t require both CPU and GPU running at full strength simultaneously. Regarding memory speeds, the Ryzen chips can handle 3200MHz without major issues unless you’re extremely unlucky with the manufacturing process.

I believe 50W is essential for the 3080TI

it worked fine at 3200mhz with two sticks, but when I tried four sticks at the same speed it didn’t hold. I reduced it to 3000mhz. For the power supply, NVIDIA was right about needing around 750w, yet with a 5600 CPU it only required about 65w and reached a max of 115TDP if you really pushed it. That’s still a bit surprising for the PSU protection on the 3080TI.

Yes, it can still crash without the riser.

it handles it, I managed to resolve the issue. my PSU wasn’t sufficient; Nvidia wasn’t kidding when the 3080 Ti required 750W. I upgraded my PSU from 700W to 750W, and it’s now working smoothly without any crashes or reboots so far.

The chip might run at a maximum power draw of 65W, yet real-world usage often uses more (performance isn't always 100% efficient). High-end cards from the 30 series can cause sudden spikes in energy use. If the load stays steady, 600W could suffice for the 3080ti. However, occasional surges reaching 900W might overload the power supply and force a reboot. Remember to consider the whole setup—SSDs need little power, but HDDs, fans, and RGB lights all add significant energy consumption.

I identified the issue—it's because my PSU isn't providing sufficient power. Everything is functioning normally so far, but I don’t have an HDD or RGB LED strips, 4 fans, or a 240mm air cooler.

It's amazing how resolving issues brings such a sense of accomplishment. Discovering the fix often leaves a smile on someone's face.
