Details: Motherboard model Asus Rog Maximus Z790, Power Supply Corsair Rme series Rm1200e ATX, RAM G.Skill Trident Z5 4x24GB DDR5 8000 (PC6400), Intel Core i9-14900k, 14th Gen, GPU MSI Venuts GeForce RTX 3080ti 12Gb GDDR6x, Windows 11 x64, AIO cooler Asus ROG Ryujin III 360mm case. Main issue: Boot problems. I can enter BIOS but it freezes or shuts down repeatedly after launching a game (party animals via Steam). PC froze during gameplay, forced a reset, and the issue persists. Last two days of downtime. Attempted fixes: reinstalled Windows on new NVMe drive with USB installer, reseated CPU, swapped hard drive, cycled power supply, reused RAM slots, unplugged everything except keyboard to access BIOS, disabled GPU, ran Memcheck (14+ hours, no errors), updated BIOS v1503 x64, replaced CMOS battery. Video documentation made during the process. Thoughts: Likely problem with motherboard or CPU; if CPU is faulty, consider AMD options for future upgrades. Need advice on further testing or insights. Appreciate your time. DSC02477.jpg
Just reviewed the video. Consider installing your boot manager first, then your SSD with the OS installed. Also, get rid of whatever is causing the issue.
Your BIOS indicates the current settings for CSM and legacy boot. After the update, it appears you've applied optimized defaults to the BIOS configuration.
