I traveled abroad and left my PC running quantum cloud for mining while it was idle. It stayed active around the clock, and when I accessed it via Chrome Remote Desktop, the performance seemed oddly sluggish. In Task Manager, I noticed only 14GB of RAM used out of a total 16GB. The system appeared to have no other applications open except ASUS GPU Tweak II. A restart usually resolves such issues, but I’m still puzzled about what’s causing this slowdown.

I verify that quantum cloud appears to rely solely on GPU memory, not RAM. The Windows interface itself consumes a lot of RAM. I'm just wondering why this works so well—especially with the 3070 (great choice) you have, which could earn you more than me, around $2.50 per day. With a 2070 Super, payments are fast, up to three days, and then it goes directly to PayPal. If you start using overclocking, the GPU memory usage seems to boost your earnings significantly. 10/10 would recommend these cards if you own any from the 30 series or above.

Thanks for the details. I understand it might be running low on RAM due to Windows usage. Fixing that could be tricky—there’s a tool available that might assist, though installing it remotely isn’t clear. The recommended solution is INTELLIGENT STANDBY LIST CLEANER by wagnardsoft; it significantly frees up memory and can be customized.

Thinking about how to send your specs past the greyed-out section. Just starting out with this feature—let me know what you need!

Thanks, I'll attempt to install it again next time and experiment to find a solution.
