You recently installed a new motherboard and CPU, but the system restarts unexpectedly without any apparent reason. It’s not due to overheating. I’m not in the middle of a game when this happens, so I’ll be doing a full Windows reinstall later this weekend for other reasons. The CPU isn’t overclocked, and I only changed the RAM speed to 3000MHz on my old board (I ran it at 3200MHz there). The BIOS settings were just set to PWM mode. The motherboard model is Crosshair Hero 8. Any suggestions on what might be causing this?

The Strix 1070ti and EVGA 750p2 evolved from an older Ryzen CPU to the model I own now.

Use a benchmarking tool such as OCCT to simulate the problem. After setting up a consistent trigger, you can test various configurations in your BIOS. The issue appears to involve instability in CPU and RAM performance.
