I forgot to message before I started work. (Still struggling to sync two monitors at once—that's another issue). SSD + HDD functioned well for about a minute, but opening the windows caused delays; it took a minute for the system to recover after I connected the second monitor. SSD + M.2 encountered issues right away—power supply seems fine, but I think that’s the cause (similar to the 650W PSU problems from last year). My current unit is still under warranty, so I was able to get a replacement.
Consider trying the installation now. Once it's running, let it operate and then push it to its limits by monitoring CPU-Z and Furmark for extended periods—ideally over ten minutes. This could stress the power supply, possibly damaging it, though it should likely affect only that component if the system stays stable.
Checked M.2 and HDD separately—they both handled the proeblm well. The M.2 would launch Windows installer, while the HDD stayed stuck in loading screen with the ROG logo. It's odd that the SSD rarely caused issues. During Windows setup on the SSD, I could bypass to the install window before it restarted (sometimes even got through). Likely just need a new PSU tomorrow if it doesn't work with one. Since this isn't the first time system issues arose due to power supply, it's possible the same problem repeats. I don’t want to risk removing other parts without confirming it.
You won’t require more than 500W; saving some cash could be possible by choosing a smaller power supply.
