System repeatedly shuts down before booting up
Recently my z170 Mobo stopped working. I have an open box B250-Plus Mobo from a local seller for my i7-6700k processor. It performed well with my CPU and RAM during testing at their store. However, they found one of the two RAM modules isn't functioning. After returning home, I tested it with my PSU—it didn’t show any display. The fans kept spinning. Over time, it keeps restarting repeatedly before the BIOS screen appears. I cleaned the RAM and tried turning it on without it, but the issue persists. The CPU stays cool, there’s no overheating. It seems the CPU won’t power on. Any advice? I7-6700k Cooler Master 650W, ASUS Prime B250-Plus, Corsair LX 8GB, 2400MHz.
Ensure all connections are secure, disconnect and reattach everything. Also reposition your CPU occasionally to prevent any misalignment. Verify that the pins remain straight and undamaged.
