Hello, the audio is coming out through the motherboard since I switched from a Behringer 802 to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd gen. I’m confident it’s not due to a loose cable, as I upgraded from one SSD to two in RAID 0 and the issue still exists (I double-checked). My current settings are set to "maximum performance." I’ll need to examine the BIOS USB configurations for Windows 10, as I wasn’t aware there could be a problem there. Here are my system details: Intel i7-6700K @ 4.00GHz, Asus Z170-A Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3000MHz GTX 1080, Founders edition SSD RAID 0 (I’ve tried running the system without RAID and it didn’t stop the issue), Samsung EVO SSD for regular games, 2TB HDD, Steam drive 500GB HDD, plus a misc drive. I plan to check the Duplicated driver tool you linked.
I checked all the usual fixes except for the Bois Stings option, but the problem remains. The audio didn’t play again this time, just a little improvement maybe.
Well, it's just the operating system—Windows 7, 8, 10, basically the same core. Use Macrium Reflect to clone your system and stick with Windows 7 for a few months until the new Windows 10 release. Nothing else I can suggest. There are plenty of options regarding USB settings in BIOS, like XHCI and EHCI handoff. I'm not sure if it will help, but you might want to experiment with different configurations just in case.
