Recently upgraded from a 1050ti to a 4060. After the switch, my PC would randomly restart and I can't force it. It works smoothly for hours of gaming before a crash. Sometimes it restarts a few minutes after logging in or just browsing. I cleared all old graphics drivers using ddu and installed the latest ones. Made sure the 8-pin PCIe cable was securely connected to both GPU and PSU. Checked the motherboard's 8-pin connections too. Reinstalled the 1050ti and everything functions properly now. Still can't figure out the problem, but my research suggests it might be related to the GPU or PSU. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Specs: CPU - Ryzen 5 5600X, Motherboard - Asus ROG Strix B550-I, RAM - DDR4 2x8 3200MHz, PSU - Coolermaster 750W SFX.

Are you asking about the pin configuration—8-pin or 4-pin? Just confirming if a 6-pin cable is compatible. If it doesn’t fit, there might be an issue.

After reading some other form post about similar issues I believe my problem comes from the fact my psu cant handle the sudden power spikes that the 30 and 40 series cards have. it is an older psu so ill be looking to upgrade. for the meantime I have underclock and lowered the power limit, so that should last me until I get a newer model psu.
