Would this appear in the monitoring tools? Does this occur during light usage, such as when playing CS2? Would it lead the computer to shut down entirely since the LEDs remain lit on the fans and cooler?

Spikes occur quickly enough that standard software often misses them. An oscilloscope is needed for accurate detection. This is why the focus is on power spikes. They typically appear when the GPU handles a short burst of high demand. The surge can trigger a shutdown, restart, or minor glitch—depending on your setup. Not every PSU reacts identically. I might be mistaken; the problem could be elsewhere. Testing with another PSU helps eliminate that possibility. You can usually find one at a repair shop nearby or purchase one from a store, ensuring you can exchange it if needed. Most retailers offer full refunds within 30 days—just confirm beforehand. Good luck.

I suggest a reliable power supply, ensuring it matches your device's requirements. It should be noticeably more powerful than what you currently have.

Based on the cost, an 850W to 1000W range would suffice well. I’d favor a trusted brand for 850W but accept a less-known 1000W if needed. If possible, test it out before purchasing or confirm return options if that doesn’t resolve your concerns.

I purchased an 850W power supply but it didn’t resolve the issue. I’m planning to return it. Could you tell me what other possibilities might exist?

Quick notes:
* Verify the case isn’t touching the motherboard improperly (confirm mounting and only use the correct grommets)
* Re-inspect all connectors (ARGB, fan headers, SATA) – test with all non-essential cables unplugged
* Reposition the CPU, inspect pins for bending, ensure cooler pressure isn’t excessive
* Possibly unstable RAM or incorrect memory channel on the motherboard/CPU?
* Update BIOS (assuming you’ve done it)
* Explore advanced power plans and adjust “turn off hard disk” settings (some laptops shut down unexpectedly)
I suspect a short circuit might be the cause.
