System Properties Doesn't Display OC'd Speed
System Properties Doesn't Display OC'd Speed
The system details are as follows: CPU i5-4670K, power supply AX1200i, motherboard Sabertooth Z87. Overclocking was set to 4.4 MHz, but speed isn't displayed in Windows System Properties or BIOS Info. CPU-Z reports 4399.0MHz (8-44) / 1.23v, and the latest BIOS version 2003 was flashed. Did anything get overlooked or is there another way to show the overclocked speed?
The system settings only display the CPU's stock information. There is no connection to the real speed, it merely fetches the model from the CPU and shows it on the page.
This poster accurately reflects the situation. The system only shows the stock clock speeds.
This poster is accurate. The system only shows the stock clock speeds.
I recently reinstalled Windows 7 and still face the same problem with ASUS AI Suite II displaying the correct OC speed, while the system properties remain at the stock 3.8 GHz.
This is confusing, especially since about a year ago I first changed the speed in System Properties—then it was listed as 4.12 GHz. I’m not sure what caused the change or how I managed to get it back before.
I also updated my BIOS and everything else was running an outdated ASUS application, but the OC speed was still shown in System Properties.
Now that everything is updated, it no longer appears there.
I found a screenshot of the System Properties from 2013 that shows 4.12 GHz, which might help. Hope the quality is sufficient to view it.

there is evidence showing it can be adjusted through system settings, now it's time to recall what I did in 2013 to achieve this.
