During the GPU reinstall, it wasn’t secured but the PCIe lock was engaged. With the machine powered on, I connected a display cable and slightly forced the GPU out of its slot. I shut down the computer right away, but now there’s no output at all. I followed the troubleshooting steps from the guide, skipping those needing another PC since I only have one. Notably, after reinserting RAM, reinstalling the CPU, and resetting CMOS, the display worked briefly before cutting out after about a minute. Specs include Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 5 2600, ASUS ROG Strix B350, and several high-end components like the GTX 1070 and MSI RX 5600 XT. The PSU is a Thermaltake Smart 500W 80+ unit.
Replace the GPU and power it off fully. Disconnect the computer and keep pressing the power button for ten seconds. Once the machine is still off, remove the CMOS battery and wait before reinserting it. Restart the system and see if it works.
Thank you for your feedback. The problem remains unresolved. Please note that the motherboard features QLED indicators from ASUS, yet they fail to illuminate during startup. The system can still power on via the case button, but it doesn’t respond when pressed. My main worry is that the memory module might be damaged, even though all components appear to function normally.
It seems the motherboard was damaged. I swapped it out and everything else functions properly, including the GPU. Thanks for the help! However, this didn’t resolve the problem. Also, the motherboard has QLED indicators that ASUS uses, but they don’t light up at all when the computer starts. The power button on the case works fine, but pressing it doesn’t get the system to respond. I’m mainly worried the MB might be faulty, even though everything powers on normally.
