System powers on and powers off.
Hey there! Just started this journey and still learning about PCs. I’ve always been into consoles, but recently my passion shifted to building a budget setup. This year, in early April, I assembled the PC and everything worked perfectly—no issues, just smooth booting and gameplay right away. However, last weekend in July, I upgraded my GPU from a GeForce RTX 3050 with 6GB to an Radeon RX 6600 with 8GB. It was a solid upgrade and everything went smoothly until now. When I tried to start up, the display failed and the fans stopped after a few seconds. I tested switching back to my old Nvidia card but got no improvement. It seems like the power is coming from the PCIE, so maybe the motherboard is the issue? I’m listing the parts below and hoping someone can help. As someone who works with mining machines, I have some insight into PCBs and hardware. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600 MSI A520M, Kingston Fury 3200 MSI MAG A550BN, and the RX 6600 or RTX 3050. Thanks in advance!
. If the problem persists you can try to clear the CMOS battery. Sometimes motherboards can be a little bit bitchy when you swap from NVIDIA to AMD (and vice versa). But as I said, try to clear the CMOS battery, there are plenty of videos on youtube on how to do it but make sure to unplug your pc and to have the CMOS battery disconnected for ~20-30 minutes
. Hoping the best here
Hey there! First up, big kudos to you for getting into PCs and PC building. There are a few things that come to my mind but I just want to make sure, please double check that the power connector for the card is properly connected and then try again
