After many months, the PC would shut down when you clicked into the main screen. I investigated and thought it might be related to the power supply. I removed the motherboard and graphics card (only the M.2 drive remained) and placed it inside a new case with the fresh PSU—it functioned perfectly. When I reinstalled it back into the original case, the issue reappeared. The only connections still present were the extra ones from when it worked outside the case: SATA power for the case fans, one fan header splitting the three fans, the power button, audio output, and USB 3.0. There are no reset buttons or other plugs left. What should I do next?

No, the motherboard isn't shorting on the case and all standoffs appear correct.

The situations are accurate, yet I haven’t eliminated the chance of it. I’m just working through troubleshooting steps for this and similar issues before buying a case.

Conducted additional checks. The issue seems to suggest the motherboard is likely the cause, rather than problems with the back panel or the CPU cooler’s placement.

Updates for those who notice this—focusing on new PSU CPUs, coolers, and motherboards. Planning to apply fresh thermal paste to the CPU and recheck performance.
