My system uses a GTX 970 and experiences issues only when those drivers are present. Without them, the GPU appears in Windows but isn't recognized as a display adapter or in Task Manager. Having a RX 6600 works without any problems.

The 970 card has been around for a while, but recent mining activity affected GPU prices. Newer systems can handle these changes. If your setup is extremely old or brand new, it might matter. Most issues are straightforward and don’t need complex specs, often speeding up troubleshooting by quickly confirming or eliminating problems. It’s possible the driver for your 970 is faulty—try reinstalling it to check if it still works.
