The disk is being formatted correctly, but during installation it mentions that Windows can't be installed on this drive because it already has an MBR partition table. For EFI systems, Windows is only compatible with GPT disks.

Remove all partitions from the drive. Pick each one individually and move it remotely. Continue until only one entry remains labeled as unallocated space (if only one drive is installed).
