This was my initial project and it's only been four weeks. The first three weeks progressed smoothly but now it begins acting unpredictably. After turning it off overnight, the next day it sometimes freezes after just one minute, then restarts without any video output, and when I power it back on it doesn't work at all—no fans, no LEDs on the motherboard, no LEDs when pressing the startup button. After waiting five minutes, it boots normally again. Over the past two days, all my USB devices have disconnected randomly, freezing after about 10 to 15 seconds. Once they freeze, the PC doesn't respond to holding the power button; the devices don't reconnect properly—lights flicker but the mouse and keyboard won't work. The freezes don’t occur when the system is under stress. From the beginning I haven’t adjusted BIOS settings except changing the RAM profile to XMP. The first time it froze, I had to fix corrupted Windows files using a safe boot, but now it detects no issues. Specifications: CPU i5 12600K, GPU ASUS 3070Ti, Motherboard ASUS H670-Plus D4, RAM Crucial 2x8GB 3200Hz, PSU Rog 750W, Cooler Dark Rock, OS Windows 10 64-bit. I tested the PSU alone and it functioned correctly. I haven’t tried any other solutions because describing everything is tough and I’m unsure where to start. Update: Lost four hours of sleep overnight. Updating BIOS didn’t resolve the problem. Edited August 7, 2022 by jbro1231

Motherboard issue. My Asus TUF Gaming B550 kept failing to boot after a few cold starts. After that, another machine wouldn’t start either using one of its DIMMs. That’s the chicken-and-egg problem.

Missed adding the note about losing time during the night. I'll attempt to refresh the bios.

The clock isn't functioning correctly, being slightly off by a few minutes or hours. That suggests the CMOS battery might be dead.

The latest BIOS update didn't resolve the issue. Same problem occurred overnight, losing about four hours. Initially, the motherboard LED stayed stuck during boot, but the monitor turned on without video. On the second try, no LEDs appeared and no video was displayed. The third attempt also showed no LEDs, no lights, and no fan activity. After five minutes of disconnecting from power, it finally booted up.
