I assembled my system at the beginning of 2021, making it relatively recent. I regularly perform maintenance to keep it running smoothly. However, occasionally the computer becomes extremely unstable—stops working, crashes, and becomes nonfunctional. Are there any components I should replace or is this normal behavior?

The discussion in the "read before asking for help" thread highlights the need for thorough preparation. It emphasizes that without understanding the context and details, it's hard to provide useful guidance. Let’s make sure we’re fully informed before seeking assistance.

I understood it, that’s all the details I can share. Watching YouTube on Google or playing a game causes it to crash. The reason isn’t clear, but I only have those open options. I know as much as you do, sorry.

I understand you might not be familiar with the parts inside your computer, even if you assembled it yourself. In this situation, it makes sense to upgrade something. Choose any component at random and swap it out.

Before constructing it, I made sure everything functioned perfectly together. Thank you for your patience—I’ll replace a component as soon as possible to test it. Have a great day!

System details contain the PSU brand and model information. CPU and GPU temperatures during the problem are recorded. A crash refers to unexpected termination; it may appear as a black or blue screen, return to the desktop, shut down without restarting, restart upon shutdown, or another behavior.

Here are your details rephrased:

The system runs an i9 10850K CPU with a Z490-E motherboard, paired with Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM (16GB) and a Zotac Amp Holo 3070 GPU. The case is Phanteks P500a, and it uses a WD hard drive with a PSU from Corsair RM 850. The cooling setup includes Noctua NH-D15 fans.

Currently, the GPU temperature stays around 40°C while browsing Google. During gaming, it spikes to about 55-60°C. CPU temperatures are uncertain; I haven’t checked them yet.

The issue you describe involves crashes—screens freezing or becoming unresponsive while a tab is open or a game runs, followed by slow mouse movement. After restarting, the computer functions normally.

I was thinking about getting it, but I don’t have the funds right now.

Your HDD is likely the issue. Windows tends to prefer SSDs, so it adjusts its expectations accordingly. As you download more programs, your PC's performance naturally drops due to increased workload. A helpful suggestion is to turn off unnecessary apps in Settings > Apps > Startup. This should improve responsiveness.
