Hey there. I put together a new PC and am having trouble understanding why my CPU is overheating so much. I thought I could get some advice from you all. Below are the details of your setup—everything is running at default settings, and the temperatures shown match what you see on the fans even when they're at full speed. Your components: case, motherboard, CPU, cooler, GPU, RAM, fans, and power supply all listed as standard. Let me know if you need anything else!
It shouldn't be this warm during 30% load while playing games. Was the test just completed? If it was while gaming, temperature should have been near 60°C on a 360 rad setup. Make sure your thermal paste is applied correctly and reinstall your CPU cooler. Or consider using an affordable contact frame to lower temperatures.
I've just come across many sources suggesting a typical idle temperature hovers near 35-40°C, while gaming pushes it up to about 60-70°C. This feels a bit excessive, especially given the low load. But I might be mistaken, which is why I came here to clarify.
Restart the cooler and refinish the CPU. Ensure your RAD is connected and functioning properly.
The 61c shown in the photo looked completely unused, just having elements like chrome in the background. The 82c was running while gaming. I inspected the thermal paste and re-applied it today, which is why I’m puzzled about the temperatures—every time the spread was almost spot-on.
It depends on whether you're placing the intake at the top or front. If your AIO is set as intake at the front, you'd likely reverse those three fans to exhaust for a push/pull setup. If it's intake at the top, you'd turn them around as exhaust to manage airflow. Check temperatures during gaming and review BIOS settings for any visible changes.
I confirmed my setup details in the initial description. The configuration includes three intake fans at the bottom, three intake fans on the sides/back, and three exhaust fans at the top. It's installed in the 011D Evo case with the AIO positioned on the side/back as an intake.
