I performed a complete Windows 10 setup and noticed the system is consuming a lot of resources. It seems like a RAM problem might be involved. My current setup includes a 4x4GB Corsair Dominator 3200mhz GPU running at the default 2133mhz. I checked with Windows Memory Diagnostic and reinstalled the GPU drivers, but the test results still show everything is fine.

Are there hidden installers operating silently? Have you looked for any updates from applications?

It looks like there are no available installers listed. (verifying with Task Manager)

The issue seems to relate to memory problems or crashes. The forum discussion suggests it could affect system stability, while the help article points to high CPU usage linked to NTOSKRNL.

reviewing additional outcomes, memory issues persist. I’d perform a memory test and proceed from there with driver checks, malware scans, etc.

I question the presence of malware, just completed a fresh Windows 10 setup. I’ve verified all drivers, executed the Microsoft Memory Tester, performed an SFC scan, checked the CHDK disk, updated BIOS, and reset CMOS. I’m unsure what further steps I should take... Running in Safe Mode shows no CPU activity, which suggests the problem might be related to Windows 10. However, both SFC scan and DISM healthrestore didn’t reveal any issues.

You verified all the newest chipset drivers from a trusted provider, not merely through Windows updates.

I made a fresh Windows USB for booting. So far the issue is resolved, but I’ll leave the computer running overnight and check tomorrow.
