System malfunction following 2700X setup.
Hey everyone, looking for some guidance on what’s happening. Here’s a summary of what I observed:
- CPU went from 1300X to 2700X
- GPU is ASUS 1070 STRIX
- Motherboard is ASRocks B350M Pro4 (P4.7)
- RAM installed: 16GB HyperX Fury 2400MHz
I updated the BIOS from version 3.0 to 3.4, then upgraded to 4.7, and finally to 4.7 again after a few reboots. After switching to the 2700X, everything worked smoothly until I started some stress testing.
During the test, I noticed a few issues:
1) The video kept stuttering and eventually displayed just a loading circle, even though CPU usage was low (14%) and GPU was idle. My internet connection was stable on 1Gb fiber.
2) The audio from my speakers sounded terrible—no sound at all. I tried restarting the PC and refreshing the video, but it still didn’t play.
3) After a reboot, the case lights and CPU fan were active, yet no output appeared on the monitors.
4) My keyboard wouldn’t light up initially, but after unplugging and replugging it, it returned to its default colors during boot. Typing in my password didn’t trigger any color changes, suggesting a possible issue with the keyboard driver or power delivery.
After about 8 minutes of waiting, the system started working perfectly again—Chrome tabs loaded fine and the video auto-played without problems.
