I possess an Acer laptop equipped with 8GB RAM, yet only displays 3.2GB of usable space. I'm using a 64-bit version of Windows 10. I've attempted to adjust settings in msconfig without success, disabled memory remapping in BIOS (which isn't available here), and even swapped the two 4GB RAM modules on the motherboard, but the issue persists. It seems there might be a faulty motherboard or RAM module. Please find attached some images to clarify the problem. Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

Understand the process, remove the RAM module, and look at the label. Many Acer models misinterpret the correct RAM size. If you're right, this model comes with 4GB but shows 8GB in BIOS. Edit: don't worry, reconsider your comment. Consider wiping CMOS. Also, try removing both sticks one by one, testing each at a time in both slots, just to eliminate faulty sticks or slot problems.
