Your PC has a solid setup but the CPU is limiting performance. You're considering a Ryzen 5 7600X upgrade with $150-$200 available. It might help to check reviews and compatibility before deciding. If you're unsure, look for recommendations from more experienced users or tech forums.

Iv been testing lots of games, from old to new,and on the older games, like elite dangerous, titanfall, older cods and such, its ran decently, little over 60fps,sometimes more, the average was 60-70,but with newer games it struggles hard,Im mainly trying to play the new oblivion, but its performance is rough for me,my friends are able to run it just fine on similar builds

Understanding correlation doesn't imply causation. Tracking GPU and CPU usage helps identify bottlenecks—if CPU hits 100% while GPU stays idle, the CPU is the problem. Conversely, if GPU reaches 100% and CPU remains low, the GPU is the issue. Monitoring both together clarifies what's limiting performance.

Based on my experience with GeForce, my GPU operates near 60% utilization during Oblivion while the CPU stays around 90%.

Consider using MSI Afterburner (free version) for preliminary testing. With a benchmark now available—though still complemented by a test with the recommended software for a clearer assessment—it appears upgrading the CPU could be worthwhile.

Receive a 5700x3D file and finish the task as requested. This is the top gaming chip available on this platform.

I'm not familiar with US pricing details, but a 5700x3d or similar might work well for your project. Upgrading to a 7600 would require swapping the motherboard and RAM.

Top choice is a Ryzen 5600 drop. The upgrade from the 3600 offers major gains. Other options provide less value or require a full platform shift. Costs exceed your budget by a significant margin. The 5700x3d remains the best alternative but stays outside your budget considerably.
