I have been getting constant crashes while playing games from Cyberpunk and Elden Ring, so I decided to replace my motherboard, CPU, and RAM. However, during the setup process, it only boots into BIOS about once every five tries. It won't even start if all my RAM is used at the same time. Are there compatibility problems with my CPU or RAM? Or something else? Can anyone help me figure this out? To make things clear: the computer starts up but sometimes doesn't send a signal at all. Usually, it stays silent or just asks for BIOS access when you select booting from an HDD. This is what I can get working best with only one DIMM installed. My hardware includes AMD Ryzen 5 7600x, ASUS TUF Gaming B650-E WiFi, two CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 RAM sticks at 32GB (two of 16GB) running at 6400MHz, a Zotac 3070 Ti graphics card, and a Sabrent 2TB m.2 SSD paired with Samsung 970 evo 2TB m.
Did you get a link for this RAM kit? Are these slots A2 and B2 getting filled up? How are you cooling down that processor? Maybe try putting less pressure on it by moving the cooler around, or maybe check if your motherboard BIOS is actually updated. I decided to upgrade about half of my PC, but keep the GPU, tower, power supply, and all storage drives from before. So did you recycle the operating system drive? If you did that, do you need to reinstall the OS after making a bootable USB installer? And then install the rest of your drivers while in offline mode too.

The old Coolermaster Hyper 212 BIOS model is... I'll figure out how to get it unstuck once I power off and remove it a little bit. I didn't actually recycle it; the Windows version, not sure if you meant "fix the old setup" or something else? So much as just formatted the hard drive and used a fresh Windows 11 installer from a USB stick.
I loosened my heatsink just a tiny bit and nothing happened. I guess I can take it out even more if needed. My BIOS version is American Megatrends Inc., dated 9/30/24, and SMbios reads as version 3.6. When I tried to update the BIOS using a USB tool with the flashing button on the back of my motherboard, it didn't work. Maybe I messed up? Can I actually update this from inside Windows using special software?
Take out both drives and try getting to the BIOS with both pieces of RAM installed. Usually, flashing the BIOS needs renaming the file in your manual or online guide, like how to flash on an Asus board. If you can get into the BIOS, it's better to use EZflash utility there instead. You might also need to look at the CPU socket for bent pins.
If you're running your RAM ar 6400MT/s, it may be too fast for the 7600X which is "guaranteed" up to 5200MT/s. Try switching off XMP/EXPO/DOCP memory overclocking if it's enabled and return to the stock JEDEC speed of 4800MT/s. Bent contacts in the CPU socket may be associated with one of the IMCs (A or B) and DIMMs might only work in the A slots or the B slots, but not in both. For Dual Channel mode (higher bandwidth), you need pairs of identical DIMMs in both channels, i.e. A2 and B2 (preferred) or A1 and B1, or fill all four slots. With RAM in the A slots only, or in the B slots only, you'll be running in Single Channel mode (slower bandwidth). Flexing of the motherboard around the CPU socket (due to overtightening the four cooler screws) can sometimes affect the connections between the CPU and DIMM sockets. Do not loosen the cooler screws too much otherwise cooling performance may be reduced. There's a happy medium. I'd hold off reflashing the mobo BIOS if the current version supports your CPU, unless your mobo supports flashing with the CPU and all RAM removed. If your system isn't 100% stable during flashing and has a tendency to crash, you're tempting fate with a BIOS update. I don't like "blind" flashing with no CPU or RAM present, preferring reassuring messages on the monitor screen during updates. If the BIOS update goes wrong mid way, you can end up "bricking" the mobo, i.e. it becomes as much use as a house brick if the update goes wrong. I normally update the BIOS from within itself, by pressing the Del key (or F1, F2) immediately after switch on, then searching inside the BIOS for the Tools section. This usually displays a list of all the drives attached to the mobo, including the USB memory stick with a valid BIOS file. You select the BIOS file from the memory stick and the utility uses the information to overwrite the old BIOS. Takes two to three minutes on most machines. I can't remember ever having updated the BIOS from inside Windows, preferring less things getting in the way. In the old days, I updated the BIOS from bootable floppies and the DOS prompt. Some people dislike using Corsair Vengeance with AMD CPUs, but I've got four 16GB DDR4 DIMMs running happily with a 3800X. Your problem may simply be trying to run the RAM too fast, if you're using the Auto XMP/EXPO/DOCP setting on the mobo. With DDR5 in a new setup, it can take several minutes before "RAM training" is complete. You might think the system is not responding, but in fact it just hasn't finished training. Best bet is to start off with the RAM at 4800MT/s (no XMP overclock), Be careful when fitting four DDR5 DIMMs. You may have to reduce the XMP/EXPO/DOCP setting. In extreme cases, the BIOS might select something slower than 4800MT/s to ensure stability, e.g. 4200 or 3800MT/s. Two DDR5 DIMMs can usually be clocked faster than four DIMMs.
