After fifteen minutes of powering on the PC, I begin noticing audio distortion and the game becomes choppy until it stabilizes at around 20-30 frames per second regardless of adjustments. The CPU throttles down to 40-240 (CPU-Z) on Windows 11 Amd 9 5900x with 32GB RAM, Corsair Vengeance Pro Nvidia 3080 Ti TUF B550, Wi-Fi TUF Gaming B550-Plus, and BIOS version 2806.
Sorry about that, I got the bios mixed up during copying. Haha!
I believe the same issue is happening; I'm applying just a light adjustment on both sides. I assumed it might be the CPU, so I purchased the 5900X which had a 3700X before. Neither of the CPUs has broken pins, so I'll try to loosen the cooler a bit more.
Picture 1 shows a loosened cooler, a fresh start. Picture 2 captures 5 minutes of play (Ultra ready or not) when the crackling begins. Note: Occasionally something disconnects and reconnects; I don’t know what might be causing it, but my AIO fans switch on and off.
A more recent BIOS is available. The newest chipset drivers for AMD have been uploaded.
