Check the battery location carefully. If it's soldered to the motherboard, you may need to desolder it before proceeding.

Avoid connecting the battery directly to the motherboard. Remove the button cell and attempt a reset of the CMOS while it's removed.

Check the board for any connections leading to batt_22 and see if you can remove those wires safely.
