The system started normally at first. I accessed the NVIDIA control panel to check for G-Sync support and noticed the monitor rapidly switching through blue, green, red, and black colors, becoming unstable. After restarting the computer, it failed to boot properly. The VGA indicator on my machine lit up: Ryzen 7 3800X, ASUS Strix B450-i, RTX 2070, 16GB DDR4 RAM.

I attempted to reset the BIOS via the CLRTC pins, but it didn’t function properly. The VGA lights remained active and there was no visible post.

I also used a GTX 1080 and encountered the same problem.

Are you sure the BIOS is up to date for your third-gen Ryzen and second-gen motherboard?

I made the BIOS update after finishing the build, everything seemed okay until I attempted to power on G-Sync and reboot. I refreshed the BIOS on the motherboard, but now it resets to factory settings and doesn’t work properly on my third-gen Ryzen. The motherboard still functions correctly out of the box though.

Yes, you can reset everything, including the motherboard CPU, GPU, and RAM, back to their original settings and begin anew.

I'm having trouble because the monitor isn't showing any video output—only the motherboard has the white light on, which suggests a VGA issue as per the instructions.

I found a few affordable Chinese monitors that are not too well-known, but they’re all functioning properly on my older setup.
