I've tried it, but after a while (4-5 hours) it begins to slow down again (stuttering).

It seems like a memory issue. Keep playing for 4-5 hours until it slows down, then restart. Check your RAM usage in Task Manager to verify.

I turned it back on and after 30 minutes of playing, my memory reached 7.5GB out of 8GB. Could that be the cause?
