System is starting from BIOS setup.
Hello. I set up a new NVMe SSD yesterday and everything is working properly. About 20 minutes ago I turned off my computer, but it kept restarting to the Windows login screen instead of shutting down. Eventually, I held the power button until it stopped. I tried to start it again to check if it would behave the same, but now it always boots into BIOS regardless of what I do. I checked the boot list and saw only UEFI options, not my SSD. After removing and reinserting the SSD, it still didn’t work. It just boots into BIOS. Anyone know what’s going on? Thanks.
I've just observed both drives appearing in the BIOS but missing from the boot list. It's quite strange since everything functioned properly before and it suddenly stopped. The BOOT indicator is lit on the motherboard, yet the system still boots from the Windows USB stick without issues.
Possible corruption detected. Consider Windows Startup Repair.
Turn on the device and attempt to press the F8 button repeatedly; this typically brings you to the startup menu where you should select Startup Repair.
Thank you for the advice. I attempted it but it didn’t seem to help. Eventually, I cleared the entire drive (it had only been used for a day, so a fresh installation was needed) and reinstalled it. Now the drive is functioning properly. Thanks!
