My machine functioned well just hours prior. I attempted to launch Adventure Capitalist on my new build for the first time. The file was downloaded recently and I hadn't played it. I decided to try it and it indicated it was hosted on Steam, but it wasn't. I tested multiple times yet it wouldn't work. I attempted a restart via update thinking it was necessary, but that worsened the issue. After rebooting, only Discord could open and operate. All other programs froze, search bars didn't respond, and the Windows icon failed to launch. I powered off the PSU, waited, then turned it back on. That still prevented app access, though the icon did restart briefly. Pressing shutdown and updating led to a persistent restart prompt.
I might consider turning off the power supply right now, thinking it won’t be a big problem. Thanks for understanding if it doesn’t sound clear enough. Since I’m unfamiliar with all this tech, I don’t have much to rely on. I’m not sure it’s a major concern at the moment.
It looks like the problem might not be as serious as it seemed, and simply restarting should help. Still, I’m a bit unsure about what’s going on and don’t have any concrete evidence.
