In short, I had to reset my PC factory to fix a problem with an app. After resetting, Windows would try to update every time I turned it on. Once the update finished, it restarted and showed a black screen instead of the login screen. Restarting again let me go through the automatic repair, which undid the update and restored access to my desktop. What might be happening?
