There might be a misunderstanding about the shutdown process. When you close the Windows settings and use the shutdown option, it should stop the system properly. If it doesn’t work, check if your PC is properly powered off or if there’s an issue with the shutdown command itself. The Task Manager showing 9 days could be due to a background process or a misconfiguration, not necessarily a real long runtime.

Fast startup activated in BIOS? Are you also turning off the power supply unit when you power down the computer? It seems like a quick fix or glitch might be at play.

Just checked, and no i dont, it comes up with the "Shutting down" screen and all.

I discovered a feature labeled as that in my Windows preferences and attempted to disable it. I'm checking if it functions after the system completes its update cycle. -.- Note: Adjusted by disabling Fast Boot in Windows Settings.
