Hey there, so I updated my motherboard and CPU (MSI Z370 A Pro/Intel i5 9600K). When I turn on the PC everything seems to work properly. I can reach the BIOS and even access the main screen. But after roughly five minutes it freezes completely. I thought maybe old drivers were the issue and considered doing a fresh Windows install, but I can’t do that. The PC freezes before the OS finishes installing, though it doesn’t freeze in BIOS. Any suggestions on what might be causing this? Thanks a lot!
Confirm the BIOS version is up to date and not a beta release. Ensure your RAM matches the supported list and is placed in the correct slots. Check that the thermal components are intact, with fan headers properly connected and BIOS indicating no thermal problems.
Appreciate the update to BIOS; it’s working well so far without any problems or freezes. It would be great if manufacturers included the MFLASH USB in FAT32 format. My original setup used NTSF, but the BIOS didn’t recognize the file. Overall, everything is fine. Thanks!
