I just set up a vertical GPU mount for my 3060, which forced me to move my CPU cooling pump, but now the PC freezes during startup. I also need to mention that the GPU was overclocked; I got the system running in safe mode and then removed MSI Afterburner, yet it still freezes. Spoiler: It’s a problem.

what in the chatgpt is that response bent... delete that nonsense. as for OP, the issue could lie with the riser cable. if that was the main change made to the system. Can you put the GPU back into place without the riser without a ton of work? Does your mobo have any LED's or a screen to give you an indication as to whats holding it up on boot? edit: the PC is booting in safe mode? but otherwise won't boot? my brain finally just connected those dots and i honestly have no idea how adding a riser cable could do that. hopefully someone else can chime in an idea

Which motherboard model are you using? It supports PCIe 4.0. The riser cable from your vertical mount also uses PCIe 4.0. You may need to adjust your PCIe settings to version 4.0 in the BIOS.
