In the past week my computer has been having issues, it crashes and then the signal drops before rebooting. This hasn’t happened before, though it’s occurred a few times recently. My machine is about two years old, so I’m checking if the power supply is the problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is there an automatic restart active? That could be the cause.

I can check whether it’s active by looking in the BIOS, since this hasn’t caused issues before. I mentioned it hasn’t been a problem recently—only now has it begun crashing with black screens and restarting.

my dad encountered a problem where opening windows starts at the bottom left and typing "run" launches the Run app to "sysdm.cpl". pressing ENTER opens a new window. click the tab named "advanced", then go to the "startup and recovery" section. click on settings, which opens another window. in the box labeled "automaticly restart", make sure it is unchecked. just confirm, you never know!

Have you considered other ideas?
Could you think of more options?
What else might work?
