System halts and fails to restart temporarily
Hi, I noticed your PC froze during startup yesterday. When trying to power it off, the power button didn’t respond, the RGB lights on one RAM weren’t lit while the other was fine, the VGA display showed full brightness and the CPU fan ran at maximum speed. You built the system two months ago with no prior issues. This situation usually means a boot failure—your memory might be faulty or there could be a power issue. I checked by replacing the PSU and using a different one, but the problem persisted. I managed to run a memory test once without errors, which is good. Let me know if you need help diagnosing further.
Sounds like board issue. I'm RMA'ing an Asus Tuf B550-PLUS myself. Think I'll be switching to Gigabyte, warranty or not.
Hey team! Any suggestions for a fresh motherboard? I don’t want to stick with ASUS anymore.
I grabbed a used 3600X and a brand new ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 board for the short term. Feel free to reach out later to see how it performs, though I believe my 5900X will eventually go to a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX V2. Updated July 24, 2022 by An0maly_76 Added more info
