I recently got this PC a few days back, bought it from the marketplace with the goal of upgrading later. The Prime Z370 i7-8700k RTX 3080 with a 750W Gold PSU and 16 GB RAM at 2666mHz. I tried undervolting the GPU, assuming the problem was with the power supply, but it didn’t help at all. Any advice?

750W is definily on edge for a 3080, but getting a black screen right when a game starts... Maybe there's more to it. Problem is, if you can't eliminate/isolate something from thoses parts as faulty, it will be difficult to know for sure. The PSU need to be tested, and the graphics card too, in a way or another. Buying a 850W PSU could be a way to try to eliminate the PSU from the equation, but it's not a guaranteed result. Throwing the 3080 in a known fonctionning build, with a strong enough PSU, could also be helpful. But you need to start somewhere.
