Hi, this is sort of a follow up post to my last, where I talked about how my monitor was acting weird while starting up, and freezing. And I can say, that it is not. I used my computer on my TV this time, and the same issue occurred. Also I noticed that the num lock light on my keyboard would just turn itself off whenever that happened, so I can say with confidence that it isn't my monitor. Basically, I turn on my PC, it freezes at the little spinning Windows logo, and nothing, nothing happens, for as long as I keep it on, or sometimes I don't even get a display signal. My only solution is to turn it off and on again, which can cause problems, causing an automatic repair to trigger. Sometimes it turns on just fine, of course, I am writing from my computer right now. I look at event viewer and there is just absolutely nothing of note. I also reset my monitor to it's factory settings, updated my GPU drivers, and updated Windows. None of them fixed it. Keep in mind, this all started to happen after I overclocked my monitor. If anyone has had this issue before, and fixed it, please let me know, Thanks.

I experienced the same problem too, but my monitor was very strict—it wouldn’t change. I had to enter Automatic Recovery by pressing the power button before Windows starts. Just repeat this process until the PC displays “Your PC couldn’t start up properly.” Then go to Advanced options > Troubleshoot > Startup settings > Restart. Press 3 on your keyboard to boot Windows in low resolution mode. After that, adjust the refresh rate back to 60Hz in your driver settings.

Yes, it’s possible to damage your computer if you repeatedly power it off before the system starts up.

This morning I didn’t receive any signal, even after rebooting multiple times. I tested the TV again but got nothing. Then I removed my GPU and used a different video source. It worked! After reinserting the GPU, it functioned perfectly. I just had to change its slot. No explanation needed, but thanks for the help.
