A fresh CPU was delivered today for my aging gaming PC. I tested MSI H110M ECO G4400 and I3 9100F, both compatible with MOBO. After setup, the system failed to display a screen despite being known to be faulty. Updating the BIOS resolved the issue completely. Now I’m puzzled—when using the new CPU, the PC briefly powers on for a second before shutting down. With the old one it works perfectly. Possible reasons: power supply or CPU condition. Is the new model defective? Does it require more voltage? My supply is 350W, which seems sufficient.
the h110 platform doesn't work with the 8000 and 9000 series processors. That information was incorrect.
9th generation processors don't work with 100- or 200-series cards. Use a 300-series chipset such as H310, B360, Z390, etc.
