System halted during Windows setup process.
In short, I finally completed assembling my computer and installed Windows properly. After linking to my Microsoft account, I saw that the background on my laptop matched what I had before, but the lower part displayed a grey textured area. I followed the uninstall instructions from the link provided and removed Windows as if I had done it the first time using the Windows 10 USB setup. When I reinstalled it the same way, the process failed. I discovered that partitions exist on my drive and attempted to clear them, but couldn’t remove them completely. After taking the SSD out and transferring it to my brother’s machine, he booted up instead of mine. Once back, I reinserted the SSD and tried adjusting the BIOS settings to prioritize Windows, but it still wouldn’t start. I consulted Tom’s Hardware, who suggested a clean install. They mentioned deleting all partitions, though I couldn’t do that. I managed to restore my disk using the DiskPart command, but all partitions reappeared afterward. My computer now seems stuck in an unknown state.
You need to boot from the USB with the SSD connected. During setup, you'll be prompted to format and erase the SSD completely. The recommended option is shown in the image: EDIT – according to imgur, you can't install Windows on a clean drive because it separates recovery and essential OS files. You should format the drive as a single partition before installing Windows, then split it into compatible sections afterward.
