System halted at a speed of 0.78 GHz
I own an extremely old AMD A6 3670K with Radeon HD graphics and only 8GB of RAM. That doesn’t matter much for the problem we’re facing. The CPU is an AMD A6 3670K APU, the motherboard is Gigabyte GA-A55M-DS2 (rev. 2.0), and the RAM is 8GB. Over time it’s been fine, but I’ve been idle for a while and now after a month it freezes at around 0.78GHz. I’ve tried changing the clock speed, but nothing helps. I attempted to use ThrottleStop, but it won’t even acknowledge that my CPU isn’t supported. It’s just that old. The hardest part is that I can’t afford a new PC. I’m from India and things have been tough lately. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If fixing the issue works, that would be perfect. Or donations for a new CPU would also help. Joking though—unless you’re wealthy, donating $300–500 won’t hurt you much.
Which motherboard is connected? Does your board include a debug switch?
