The computer freezes when starting up. Fans operate normally but the POST screen appears stuck. Access to the BIOS isn’t working despite attempts. Memory modules were checked one by one, the GPU removed, CMOS battery taken out, and all peripherals unplugged—still no improvement. I’m at a loss and need assistance.

Disconnect all other components except the CPU and one RAM stick in slot A2 (or A1 if you have just two slots) along with the power cables for the motherboard. Attempt to start the system. Observe the outcome.

Yes, on a motherboard with four RAM slots, the third slot would be labeled A2.

I attempted this and it opened the BIOS settings successfully. I connected the devices and restarted them one by one, discovering that the computer wouldn't boot after inserting the SSD. I also tried the SSD on a different machine and received the identical outcome.

Dead drive. I thought it could be that, but there are other possible causes as well. Thank you for figuring out the problem.
