I turned off my XMP profile and it hasn’t caused a black screen yet. Right now, RAM is only operating at 2133 MHz, which is a noticeable drop from the 3200 MHz I’ve been using for nearly a year. It’s puzzling since I’ve always run at higher speeds, and I wonder if my older BIOS version might be the issue.
I plan to refresh the bios if issues arise again. It might be the motherboard, as this B450M board is quite affordable—just $120 Canadian a year ago. It’s currently working at 2133MHz, but I’m curious about the performance drop compared to 3200MHz.
