System freezes upon starting games, fans reach maximum usage
I've been using the same machine for over two years without any modifications. Recently, I began experiencing problems. When trying to open either of my primary games—Warzone or Rocket League—I can navigate the menu without issues, but once I start a match, the screen freezes completely. Fans reach maximum speed until I press the power button to shut it down. I’m able to browse the web and perform other light tasks for long stretches. I’ve also tried reinstalling the games to rule out that as the cause, but the issue remains. The system crashes right after launching a match on either game, with both CPU and GPU temperatures spiking to 30°C or higher. The power supply is GIGABYTE G750H 80 Plus Gold 750W, modular with smart fan and protection. The motherboard is ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus with Wi-Fi, the GPU is Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Super Gaming OC, and I use an NVMe SSD with 3D TLC NAND. The CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, RAM is G.Skill RipJaws V 16GB (4x8GB), and the case features a Noctua NH-D15 cooler.
