I really don’t want to do a clean install right now—I’ve got some tasks and would rather skip it. I’ll give it another shot later, maybe during the Christmas break. Thanks for your time and any advice you can offer!

Just a quick note, I replaced my GPU with an older GTX 550 Ti and everything is running smoothly—no freezes, storage usage looks normal. It seems the AMD driver might be causing issues with my SSD. I plan to try DDU again, test both NVIDIA and AMD drivers, and perform a clean install to see if that fixes it.

I experienced comparable problems, though milder, until I swapped out my barracuda hard-drive—a fact worth noting since those drives can sometimes cause issues. Try moving your game to a Samsung drive and remove the barracuda to see if it helps. That’s intriguing because it suggests the problem isn’t tied to your Windows setup. I’d still suggest giving my advice if the issue continues.
